The maintenance and development of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC), which VTB received in 2023 for trust management for five years, will require more than 2 trillion rubles, according to the words of VTB CEO Andrey Kostin on the sidelines of the EEF: “We asked the Ministry of Finance to conduct an analysis of the financial condition of USC,” he says. “The Ministry of Finance, represented by the Treasury, worked for at least eight months and came to the conclusion that the deficit of funds with a perspective up to 2030 — precisely during the five years that we will manage USC — is 1.029 trillion rubles.” These, he explained, are the funds needed to maintain USC’s operations, not investments in development: “... financing USC’s own operations, repayment of obligations without sources of financing, loans not secured by marketable products — in theory, these are the funds needed to complete unprofitable orders.”

As for investments in development, Mr. Kostin estimated them at a sum comparable to a trillion. About $5 billion of it is a preliminary estimate, based on similar cases, but not yet worked out in detail, of investments in the construction of a shipyard in Vladivostok, in Promezhutochnaya Bay. "The shipyard will allow us to produce tankers and even gas carriers, but first of all, container ships, bulk carriers, that is, all types of merchant ships up to 300 m in size," he said. The head of VTB repeated that no more shipyards will be built, however, a more or less thorough, depending on the need, modernization of four shipyards in St. Petersburg is planned. "We do not have enough financial or human resources for more," Andrei Kostin summed up.

МОСКВА, 18 апреля. /ТАСС/. На Окской судоверфи (город Навашино Нижегородской области) в четверг проходит торжественная церемония закладки головного малого морского танкера (ММТ) проекта 23630 (шифр "Умба") для ВМФ России. Об этом ТАСС сообщил источник в судостроительной отрасли.

"Началась церемония закладки головного ММТ проекта 23630, особенностью судна является наличие на нем вертолетной площадки", - отметил источник.

ТАСС не располагает официальным подтверждением этой информации.

Según la nota del astillero, el buque servirá para llevar a cabo investigación tanto en el fondo del mar como en la atmósfera o en el espacio, algo que llama la atención.

– После ввода в эксплуатацию судно станет флагманом флота Росгидромета, – отметил Патрушев. – На его борту разместится мощный научный комплекс, который позволит проводить исследования даже в самых суровых условиях, в том числе исследования дна океана, атмосферы и космоса. И в целом этот многоцелевой проект обеспечит бесперебойную работу полярных станций Росгидромета. Отмечу, что изучение Арктики и Антарктики является одним из ключевых направлений деятельности Федеральной службы. Ежегодно уже проводится более 20-ти экспедиций. Они позволяют отслеживать климатические изменения, собирать данные для развития навигации Северного морского пути и уточнения границы континентального шельфа России. Появление нового судна «Иван Фролов», безусловно, усилит наши позиции в полярных регионах.
