Russian arms embargo does not apply to contracts concluded before 1 August
BRUSSELS, July 31. / Correspondent. ITAR-TASS Denis Dubrovin Alexander Shishlo /. EU imposed an arms embargo and a ban on the supply of Russian art in the double - civilian and military - are not subject to assignment contracts concluded before 1 August 2014. This is stated in the decision of the EU Council, published in the Official Journal of the EU.
With regard to the arms embargo, the decree prohibits "the sale and supply in Russia, as well as transfer and export to this country, directly or indirectly, by nationals of Member States (EU) or from the territories of Member States, or vessels that sail under their flag, or aircraft registered in the Member States, arms and related equipment of all types, including weapons and ammunition, military vehicles and equipment, paramilitary equipment, and spare parts. "
